Job Description
The role of the Content Marketing Manager is crucial to Cooper Pet Care’s mission to give pets a better and healthier life by providing their parents with an effortless pet healthcare solution. Providing value by way of engaging content is an essential part of this mission.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing and scaling website content production in Dutch and English
- Panning, writing, and editing content
- Performing keyword research and tracking
- Tracking, analyzing, and optimizing content for engagement
- Using industry-recognized Search Engine Optimization and Content Production best practices
- Distributing content through different media channels
- Managing and growing social media channels (posting content, growing followers, engaging with users, etc.)
- Hiring, training, and managing a content production team
About You
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- At least 2 years job experience working in content marketing (online publication, startup or agency)
- Strong writing and editing skills and experience with editing and writing content (e.g. blogs) for online publications
- Sharp eye for detail when proofreading and copyediting
- Understanding of blogpost publishing format using best practices
- Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
- Ability to discern which topics and content work and which do not
- Ability to recruit and onboard high-quality writers and provide training
- Experience managing Social Media channels
- Love for pets

- Familiarity with WordPress
- Understanding of how to write and optimize headlines for SEO and click-through
- Understanding of user personas and target audiences and how to write for those groups (i.e., knowledge of how to produce content that pet parents actually want to read)
- Experience using analytics to track content performance and inform future decision
- Understanding and experience managing Social Media channels
- Pet Market knowledge
- Experience of working in a startup environment
